The Twins' Tale of Egalliv

"THUMP, THUMP, THUMP!" My heart is pounding as I edge towards the window. My eyes were drawn to a bunch of blood curdling creatures. Who were they? What were they doing here? I leapt toward my sister, my whole body shaking in terror. I could see the fear in my sister’s eyes as I clutched to her, waiting for the worst.

It all started last week when my sister and I were walking to school. She is one of those people who are just plain perfect. Straight teeth, confidence, popularity, hair that people would die for, and she is beautiful, me on the other hand well, even though we're twins, lets just say I’m completely different.

We were trudging slowly towards the giant steel gate, suddenly there was a flash of lightning, and slowly, from the horizon marched an army of hideous ghastly beasts.

We all gathered inside, the teachers shut all of the windows, and blinds but they wouldn't tell us why. Scared, my sister and I huddled in the corner, when suddenly, BOOM!!! The whole room shook and we managed to escape but nothing could have prepared us for what was out of those doors, the sky didn't look like the sky anymore.

I peeked through the blinds for a brief second just in time to see the Mayor of Egalliv, known as "The Springer" stroll through the gates. The whole school was buzzing not knowing what to expect. "Knock Knock." The springer entered our classroom looking relaxed and calm. "Please excuse me." He said to our teacher. "I have come to explain everything..."

The Springer explained that “The Prancer” The Springer’s brother had obtained a magic pencil that can be used to create animals and monsters, and in the wrong hands could terrorize the village. He told us not to worry though, as he had inherited a single rubber, and a pen that can be used to undo the dreadful creations The Prancer had thought up and would go and meet tonight and bring peace to the city of Egalliv...
