KATE PULLINGER

Kate Pullinger

Kate Pullinger writes for both print and digital platforms. In 2009 her novel The Mistress of Nothing won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction, one of Canada’s most prestigious literary prizes. Her prize-winning digital fiction projects Inanimate Alice and Flight Paths: A Networked Novel have reached audiences around the world.

Kate Pullinger gives talks and readings frequently (look at the Events page for future events); she also offers private 1-1 mentoring for emerging writers in both print and new media. She is Reader in Creative Writing and New Media at De Montfort University where she co-founded TRG, the Transliteracy Research Group; she works with PhD students and also offers a bespoke MA by Independent Study; for more information on working with Kate at DMU, use the Contact page to send an enquiry. JR CARPENTER

JR Carpenter J. R. Carpenter is a web artist, zine-maker, and writer of poetry, very short fiction, long fiction, non-fiction and web-based non-linear intertextual hypermedia narratives. Sometimes she does these things separately, sometimes all at once. She studied Life Drawing and Anatomy at the Art Students’ League of New York and Fibres and Sculpture at Concordia University in Montreal, where she has served as President of the Board of Directors of OBORO, an artist-run gallery and new media lab, since 2006. TIM WRIGHT

Tim Wright Tim Wright is a digital writer, an interactive producer and a director of XPT Ltd. His writing credits include two BAFTA-winning interactive projects: the comedy self-help disk "MindGym" and web and email drama "Online Caroline". He also co-developed, devised and scripted the BAFTA nominated science-learning Web drama "Planet Jemma".

CHRIS MEADE

Chris Meade Chris Meade is a writer, cartoonist and Director of if:book, the think and do tank exploring the future of the book in the digital age. He was previously CEO of Booktrust and the Poetry Society with whom he is currently collaborating on a Young Poets’ Network. Other if:book projects include Songs of Imagination and Digitisation, an on-line celebration of William Blake, and HOTBOOK, a digital anthology for schools. www.insearchoflosttim.net, his digital novella, was described by the Independent on Sunday as “just possibly the future of fiction” and he recently held a conference on The Amplified Author in the Local Unlibrary.

ANDY CAMPBELL

Andy Campbell Andy is a digital writer who has been working at the forefront of digital fiction since 1994. He is the creator of Dreaming Methods, a website described by the Times Educational Supplement as "A semi-cinematic, semi-literary blend... a distinctive voice that couldn't be replicated in print." In 2010 he was a judge for Poole Literature Festival's pioneering New Media Writing Prize, the first major prize in the UK to celebrate electronic literature. He is the lead artist and web developer for One to One Development Trust, creating and facilitating film commissions and multimedia projects for communities, agencies, arts organisations and charities.
